A recent study published in In Vivo journal found that isoflavone intake is beneficial for breast cancer prognosis and lowers breast cancer manifestation in pre-menopausal and post-menopausal women.

Soy contains genistein and daidzein isoflavones; isoflavones have anti-cancer properties. Therefore, study aimed to draw conclusions and find the effect of soy isoflavones consumption.

The results showed that, there was a clear negative relationship between the amount of isoflavones consumed and the occurrence of breast cancer in pre- and postmenopausal women.

Thus, the results of the study indicate that women with high soy and isoflavone consumption have a lower risk of being diagnosed with breast cancer.
