A recent study published in Breast Cancer Research and Treatment journal showed that Hilo therapy is a better alternative for preventing clinically significant Taxane-related side-effects in women with breast cancer.

The study included sixty-two women with early breast cancer treatment. A comparison was done using frozen gloves in one hand and Hilo therapy on the other.

The results showed that compared to frozen gloves, better comfort and lower side effects were observed with Hilo therapy.

Hence, the results conclude that Hilo therapy can be used for preventing Taxane-related nerve damage, pain and nail toxicity in women with early breast cancer treatment.
