Finding a lump in your breast can be alarming. The first thing that you should do after finding a lump during your breast on self-breast examination is that you should make a mark over it with a pen or marker. This will enable you to easily locate it when you visit your health care practitioner or gynecologist.<\/p>\n

Your physician will examine your breasts, especially the newly emerged lump. You may be advised to undergo certain imaging tests for a better understanding of the lump and underlying breast tissue. The imaging test required maybe an ultrasound or a mammogram. Based on the images obtained from these tests, you may be asked to get a biopsy done.<\/p>\n
